This piece is based off of the song Everybody's Fool by Evanescence. The song was about her sister becoming what she considered "fake" and pretending to be someone they aren't just to be accepted and fit in to society. For this I did a woman peeling off a mask that has the qualities of a perfect girl with makeup on, and the face underneath contained words that pertain to the subject, like "vision" and "perfect". This was one of the first pieces where I had to work smaller because of time. It definitely helped. Some things I liked about this piece is how the composition flows nicely, and the colors also flow together well, like the dark sky blue background against the purple shirt. It didn't take away from the main subject of the piece. Some things I can improve about this piece is the hand. It was a difficult hand position to draw, and still doesn't look right to me. If I were to add to the piece, I would add more elements into the mask like eyeshadow, or the face behind it. Overall I thought this piece turned out good and neat.
