3. Choose 2 mini lessons that you felt were the most beneficial in your learning for that particular project. Include photos of these and explain thoroughly. Do you feel you needed more instruction for success? Explain or did you feel that the instruction given was enough to ensure success? Explain.
The first mini lesson I choose was the watercolor apple project were we had to create 4 watercolor apple using different techniques. The apple above was my favorite of the four, and it was the one with complimentary colors with the salt effect added. Even if the salt didn't work since it wasn't wet enough, I like the colors and shading I did. This lesson was very beneficial because It got me really used to watercolor, and how the amount of water really effects the painting. This lesson made me very confident with watercolor and how to shade with watercolor. Also by doing multiple ones, it gave me more experience with trying different color combinations and techniques, like using pen over top or the watercolor pencils. The second mini lesson I choose was the color wheel. This project was beneficial because it got me used to mixing colors since we had to make colors from the primary colors instead of grabbing an already mixed green and adding different shades and lights to it. It taught me how different blues, yellows, and red mix differently and how much of each color I should mix to get the color I want. It helped me a lot when we did our landscape painting in knowing which colors and how much of each color I should mix to get the shade that I wanted.
